Elliot Lake is busy gearing up for the Let Them Be Kids build day. Our next steps include our "Dot Mocracy" where local kids will vote for their favorite park elements...giving them the opportunity to decide what goes in our parks!
This even will be happening soon, so please keep checking the site for a date and location to get involved!

There are many opportunities to help out: donate tools, materials, or your time! We'll be posting lists shortly of things we need, as well as ways you can volunteer on September 26th.

On September 26th, 2009, the City of Elliot Lake, volunteers, Let Them Be Kids and Kool-Aid came together to build 2 new play structures and an outdoor fitness park in Elliot Lake. The day was filled with laughter, tears, joy, and rememberance as the 3 parks were dedicated in memory of 3 local heros: Private David Byers, Coperal Glen Arnold and Former Mayor Roger Taylor. The families were in attendance and spoke at each site. The day ended with a community bbq. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate this wonderful day!
